The Medi-Molder is a vertical clamp – vertical injection press with a rotary table designed specifically for insert molding. Products molded on the Medi-Molder include medical devices such as catheters, connectors and surgical tool handles handles. The press is ideally suited for book molds. The press can be equipped with a rail system that opens the book mold as the table rotates. This allows the operator to easily remove the molded part or parts and load the insert for the subsequent cycle. The servo driven table can handle up to six molds. The machine can be programmed to handle molds of dissimilar parts.
The servo controlled injection unit delivers a very accurate shot size. There are two models available a 30 ton and a 60 ton with screw sizes ranging from 16mm to 40 mm.

Unlike traditional methods, insert molding provides an accurate, repeatable process for inserting dissimilar component pieces (plastics, metals, rubber, etc.) into the mold to produce molded medical devices. This is particularly advantageous in the volume production of molded medical devices - from catheters to power cords.
