LMG builds 4 different types of presses that are used to produce a wide range of parts for the medical industry, the Genesis transfer press, the Sesame Nano Injection press, the Micromolder and the Medimolder.
The Genesis transfer press produces larger parts such as handles for surgical tools molded from gum stock silicone. More information on the Genesis press.
The Nano-Molder Injection press has the smallest injection unit in the industry. It can mold parts as small as .0001 grams. Parts molded on the Nano-Molder include micro fluidics parts, catheter tips, micro implantable parts, micro surgical parts and implantable tear duct parts. The Sesame press can be equipped with a thermoplastic or an LSR injection unit. Click here for more info on the Sesame press.
The Micro-Molder is a vertical clamp – vertical injection press that can be equipped with a rotary table for insert molding. It comes equipped with one of three injection units from 2.8 cc up to 10 cc. The press can be equipped with either a thermoplastic or LSR injection unit. The 8 ton clamping can be pneumatic or the optional electric clamp. Please click here for more information on the Micro-Molder.
The Medi-Molder is a vertical clamp – vertical injection press with a rotary table designed specifically for insert molding. Products molded on the Medi-Molder include medical devices such as catheters, connectors and surgical tool handles handles. The press is ideally suited for book molds. The press can be equipped with a rail system that opens the book mold as the table rotates. This allows the operator to easily remove the molded part or parts and load the insert for the subsequent cycle. The servo driven table can handle up to six molds. The machine can be programmed to handle molds of dissimilar parts.
The servo controlled injection unit delivers a very accurate shot size. There are two models available a 30 ton and a 60 ton with screw sizes ranging from 16mm to 40 mm. Please click here for more info on the Medimolder.
